English as Second Language Classes

ESL classes are held four times a week (weekdays and weekends), in the morning and in the afternoon, at highrising buildings in the Twin Cities area. Most of classes are held in Minneapolis. We also teach Somali Laguage to those who are interested in it.

Volunteer Opportunities

Somali International Minorities of America is looking for volunteers who are interested in getting experience of diversity and in learning about immigrants and refugees. SIMA is welcoming volunteers who are interested in teaching ESL and have ability and qualifications of teaching English as Second Language. If you are interested in teaching and working with immigrants and refugees to get new skills, experience the diversity by working with refugees and immigrants, and simply to have time and enjoy what you do while contributing to your community, contact Somali International Minorities of America office at:
